Light of power taken
Feel the war's call
Never forsaken.
Darkness claimed,
Forever maimed.
One of the beauty lie
Another truth told
time of war held neigh
One forsaken to fold.
Darkness have kept,
Forever I wept.
Devil of Life
Angel of Death
Cast into strife
Hope will have lef'
Darkness spoken,
Forever broken.
Light righteous fought
Dark bravely slain
No blows soft
then end came
Light true dark,
Never one a mark

This piece is very interesting. The constant contrasts between light and dark, the shifting tense and rhyme scheme, they all draw you into the flow and make it meaningful.
